Work Fast
You’ve got to make time to work on your website project. If you’re doing this part time, after your day job, like I am right now, you will be struggling to stay focused on your project. Discipline. Steadfastness. Keep writing. Reading your own stories will inspire you to write more.
Read your stories every once in a while, to edit and polish them. They will inspire you to write more stories.
You’ll also need to prioritize your time management. Perhaps eliminate, or at least diminish, unproductive, time consuming behaviors. You need to have at least 30 and the more the better; good, valuable stories; before you can start working on increasing the traffic to your website. Work fast. Get more than 100 good, valuable stories produced as quickly as you can.
Once you have a good start on building your website, then start thinking about how to attract attention. Of course, social media is going to be a big part of that. Start thinking about how you are going to do that.
Keep in mind that you are going to have to produce a lot of fresh valuable content to keep your audience interested. First you attract them to your site, then you supply valuable content to keep them interested and keep them coming back for more. Supply more valuable content.
Perhaps you’ll figure out how to set up commenting and get a conversation going. Interactive websites are much more interesting than one way communications. Managing the comments will be a significant effort. You have to decide if its worth it. My experience is that new websites are immediately flooded with massive amounts of spam.
You’ll have to learn how to manage that and to respond to and manage the legitimate comments. Once you get your commenting system set up, if you decide to do so, then you will want to start posting on Linked in and other social media outlets.
I’m not a big fan of many of the most popular social media companies, especially, ever since they started censoring political speech. The whole point of teaching you about free and open source software is to show you how to avoid the censorship of the so called experts.
The American Medical Association are the quacks. The reason health is so expensive that you have to have insurance to pay for it, is because they have suppressed any alternative source of health care.
AMA style health care is a good thing. It has helped to double the average lifespan of a human being during the last few hundred years. The suppression of alternative health care is a tyrannical corruption of the economics of health care. Doubling the lifespan of people living in a prison world is not very productive.
Use free and open source software, free and open source education and free and open source health care to break up the monopolies and unleash the free enterprise of the people of earth.
Investigate the software the enterprise class institutions are using and figure out how to scale it down and make it useful for your family. Real capitalism is based on the family. Private property is valuable. Self determination is a good idea. God makes the rules.
Once you have a substantial story telling business running, start working on monetizing your traffic. You can sell you stories. You can sell other people’s ideas and products and services, with their permission of course. Compile some of your web pages into a book and sell that.
Figure out what are you going to sell and then how to get paid securely. Now that even banks are getting involved in censorship, I’m thinking that some sort of block chain payment system is the way to go.
That is going to be another complicated system to learn. Once we get it figured out and properly configured, it will be relatively easy to package it all and deliver it to a wide audience.
Take good care of yourself and your family and thank God every day and ask for guidance, strength and ability to produce something valuable and trade your information, products and services effectively. Make sure everyone who trades with you gets a good deal, including yourself. Peace be with you.
