Start working on developing your websites as soon as possible. Start with WordPress. Practice the process of building websites, over and over again. Get experience and cultivate your muscle memory. Learn how to build websites by solving problems as you encounter them.
Hosting
For now, I recommend Bluehost. They’re the hosting company I use for this website and they’ve been a good host for several of my websites. Open an account. Most hosting companies use cPanel for managing websites. Explore cPanel. Read the documentation. Get your website set up. Let Bluehost show you how to get it set up right. You will learn new tactics and strategies as you gain experience.
Content Management
If you don’t have any experience, I recommend the Bluehost One Click WordPress application, with all the Bluehost extentions and plugins, to start with. Use your WordPress Dashboard to build your website. Create pages for articles you want to remain available for a while. Create posts for your blog.
The pro version of Bluehost and WordPress will get you access to the help desk of those applications. You can call them on the phone and they can answer questions and help you solve problems. Your website is a complex project and you will probably need the help, at least for the first few years.
Theming
I’m using the Kadence Pro theme. It is a massive improvement to WordPress. It has a variety of visual themes you can choose from and a huge selection of tools for building websites. It is one of the best WordPress themes and you can use it over and over again for years to come. Get familiar with Bluehost, WordPress and Kadence and improve your website development expertise by using the same tools over and over again.
Write your stories in your favorite text editor. Then, copy and paste them into the Gutenberg editor in WordPress. I do a lot of editing in the Gutenberg editor. Insert your images and videos. Each individual story is a valuable piece of art. The entire website is a work of art. Take your time. Make your website beautiful and valuable.
