Restarting

Restarting your productive workflow after a vacation is not always easy. Spending a lot of time wandering around the city, playing, can be a significant distraction. Get started by writing a simple blog post.

So, I spilt green tea on my laptop keyboard and a couple of keys are not working very well. So, I’m switching to using my Microsoft Windows 10 desktop. It’s always good to use this every once in a while to keep up to date on using Windows. Plus, I get all the software on my Windows machine up to date.

Linux is a lot more fun. I get to control of my Linux operating system. Microsoft is in control of my Windows operating system. Right now, I’m copying my files from the Linux machine onto an external hard drive.

My plan is to get a new Micorsoft Surface Pro laptop and then convert this desktop into a Linux machine. I would definitely like to get a KDE Neon Slimbook, with KDE Neon installed on it. Just make sure you always have two computers to work with, so that one of them being out of order, does not prevent you from creating content. Back up your hardware and your software.

I’m using Notepad to write this article. Notepad++ seems more like a coding application. I was just about ready to switch to Notepad++, just to get used to using it, when I noticed that I can select the font in Notepad. So, Notepad will be my primary writing tool.

I don’t like using Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer because they include too much metadata, which makes it difficult to copy and paste into my website editor. Oh, its easy to copy and paste the story into the editor, it just includes a lot of unnecessary metadata. You don’t see the metadata, it just clogs up your website and slows it down.

So, I’m in the middle of the process of splitting homeoffice.studio up into three or four different websites. This will help me narrowly focus my websites on one topic, which will make them more attractive to search engines. I’ll have several websites about different topics, which you can browse around and read and watch the videos.

Reading the stories and watching the videos is a high performance teaching and learning system. The hard part is attracting an audience and persuading them that reading these stories and watching these videos is a valuable way to spend their time. Make your stories entertaining and educational.

Write stories about your topics and then make a documentary video to go along with the story. Once you get your websites setup and running, create a new story every day and then, post a story on each of your websites once a week or so.

Keep the content on your websites fresh. New content will make your website more attractive to search engines and the people reading your articles. Go back and edit and polish your stories. Keep them up to date. You can greatly improve your stories by editing them after working on something entirely different for a long time. One day, just go through and read your stories and edit and polish them. Gradually improve your stories and your websites.

The key is to get up and get to work every day, even when you don’t feel like it. Make sure you don’t get distracted by the Internet. Limit the time you spend watching TV. Some of the content you create will not be useful. Just keep creating content. Keep writing and keep producing documentaries and posting them on your websites.

And have fun creating content for our global cloud of artificial intelligence. Create your own, multiple channels of high performance, entertaining education.
