Self-Discipline
When you are under seige and distracted by the life around you, keep working. Stay focused and keep working. Get back to work as soon as possible. Surround yourself with positive influences and be a positive influence on the people around you. Work fast and add value to the economy.
Work on building your own portal into the global cloud of artrificial intelligence. And then, pour your creative freedom into the collective consciousness of earth and it’s people. Tell us entertaining stories. Teach us something valuable.
Art is valuable information. Use your digital tools to create something beautiful and valuable that you can trade on the World Wide Web. Work on creating an attractive door into an interesting and valuable universe of entertaining education.
Being productive and adding value to the economy is worth repeating. It is how you produce prosperity for yourself and for the people around you.
Story telling is one of the original arts. Practice telling your stories in whatever medium you like. You can tell stories in person. You can create a podcast, with audio only. You can produce all kinds of video art. Musical audio and video are valuable entertainment. You can make video tutorials and documentaries. Photography is a great art. There are many digital tools that you can use to create all kinds of abstract art.
Make sure your stories are narrowly focused on one topic. This is one habit I need to work on improving in my own workflow. I tend to ramble and I am probably losing a lot of audience because of that. At this point, I don’t have a lot of audience, but narrowly focusing my stories will make my websites more attractive to people and search engines.
Splitting my one website into four different websites is a significant part of my effort to more narrowly focus my stories on one subject. Once I get the four websites up and running, I can concentrate on producing lots of content and put stories about diverse subjects that I am interested in writing about in the appropriate website.
Of course, working on building websites is a significant distraction from creating content for the websites. That is okay. It is worth the investment. Learning how to create your own story telling platform is a valuable skill. This eliminates the middle-man. There is no editor, no expert gate keeper, that determines what gets published. Free enterprise is more fun than central planning.
At first, that free enterprise will enable a lot of noise to get onto the Internet. As we all learn how to use this valuable tool, the free enterprise of the people of earth will unleash a tidal wave of social and economic development.
What the United Nations produces in the 21st century, will dwarf what western civilization produced in the 20th century. We will have to be on guard against any elite ruling class trying to get control of the collective consciousness of human nature and civilization, which we are just beginning to produce.
Right now, the United Nations is the richest greatest civilization in human history. I suspect that it may eventually be corrupted into an oppressive, imperialistic civilization. There are many groups of people trying to take control. If that happens, then the United Nations will be replaced with a system that cultivates free enterprise, self-determination, human rights, family values and spirituality. Build your niche in the world wide web and within the United Nations. God makes the rules.
Repetition is a good learning tool and a good teaching tool. Get into the habit of producing at least one good story every week. One good story is more valuable that a lot of not so good stories. Be a prolific story teller.
Practice using your tools. Digital artisans use a sophisticated set of tools. Stay up to date on your tools and get really good at using them, just like a guitar player, drummer or pianist.
Get out of bed early and get ready for work. Start working before your mind gets distracted by all the noise around you. Life on earth is noisy. There are all kinds of enticing distractions that will call for your attention. Pay attention to your work.
The ends and the means are both import. What are your goals and how are you accomplishing your goals? Write down your short term and long term goals. Read them every once in a while. Writing them down imprints them into your subconscious mind. Reading them reminds you of what your free enterprise is.
Free enterprise is voluntary activity. Some people like being told what to do. Other people like to create their own free enterprise, instead of working in someone else’s free enterprise. Probably the most popular way to work these days is to work with a team of free agents, on free and open source projects. Most people work for big corporations and small businesses, but, while it may be the easiest way to make money, it is not the most popular way to work. It is definitely not the most rewarding way to work.
I grew up on a farm and experienced the tail end of the capitalist democracy based on a primarily agricultural economy. The family farmers and independent shop keepers were the most productive human beings ever. The corporations definitely added value to the economy. Big corporations add value that no small business can accomplish.
Find a niche for yourself and get to work creating valuable content. Try working in a variety of specialized markets. See where you are most comfortable and start improving yourself. Make yourself more valuable. Make yourself more productive. Make yourself an entertaining, high-performance teacher.
