Journal 5/22/25
All righty then! I’m starting a new writing system. I got a new phone, that comes with a tablet. So, I’m writing this story on the tablet and then, I’ll post it as a blog post.
The tablet does not have a lot of computing power, but I figure I can use it as a mobile writing tool. I’m using a program called Jotterpad to write this story.
Jotterpad enables me to write Markdown, so I’ll use the tablet to learn how to write markdown. I’m already learning how to write books using Latex and Kile on my desktop. I’ll learn how to use Markdown using this tablet.
Right now, I’m just using the plain text editor. One of things about working with computers that I’ve learned so far is that you should make small changes in your development process. I’ll start writing a lot more blog posts. It will be like a journal of my holistic home office development project.
Between Jotterpad and WordPress’ Gutenberg editor I should be able to do just about anything. Posting images may be a problem because all my images are on my desktop computer. This tablet does not have a lot of storage for images. We’ll see how that all works out.
I’ll be doing a lot more writing than I already have been. I’ve been working on writing the books. My plan for monetizing this website has always been to sell books and other things like coffee cups and tee shirts and stuff like that. I’ll probably offer office supplies for sale.
For now, I need to get a pro wordpress account set up and ask technical support to help me get the login and commenting set up properly. All the website content has been freely available to everyone. Perhaps I’ll make some of it members only content.
I actually need to get the login and commenting set up first, to attract and keep track of the traffic to the website. I’m not really expecting to get a ton of traffic, but I do want to get a fully functional website set up and running, so I can describe how I did that.
This website is for people like me, who have not done very well in school, but like reading and learning and are willing to read this content, watch the videos and get some ideas about how to develop your own holistic home office.
I just added a photo to this story from my phone. So yeah, I’ll be able to add photos. It’s just a matter of getting into a workflow.
